With a history dating back to 1892, Taylor Ferguson is a respected brand in the Australian wine scene. As part of the broader Alepat Taylor group, our business is growing grapes, making and bottling wine and sending it to market. We’ve been at it for well over 100 years! Our range is crafted for balance and personality, an art perfected over a time by what remains a passionate, family-owned and run company. We stand by our ethos, to make elegant and approachable wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their origin.

The core Taylor Ferguson estate vineyards are in Coonawarra, where we have a focus on red varieties, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, a variety known to be particularly suited to the region’s characteristic limestone soils. In fact, the cassis-laden, complex reds we get from our vineyard here has defined the ‘reason for being’ of our Taylor Ferguson range; to produce beautifully varietal wines from where the grapes are simpatico with their geography. Simply, this allows unique characteristics to shine and produce wonderful wines that drink well above their price points, never at a loss of the personality of terroir.

Heading up the winemaking at Taylor Ferguson is Willy Lunn. His impressive back story covers Petaluma, Yering Station and Shaw + Smith plus plenty of vintages in the US. We’ve given Willy a slightly different wave to ride here, but we’re know his modus operandi is flavour, matter what value you put on the bottle. He’s an expert in dealing with fruit from a range of terroirs, and we know he’s going to deliver everything from the delicate nuances of the King Valley to the bold punch of McLaren Vale.
